Established in 1977, New Guard Coatings is a privately owned family business specialising in the sale of protective and industrial coatings for a wide range of market sectors such as new construction, petrochemical and OEM manufacturing. Their Head Office is located in Wetherby, with another branch in Barwell, Leicestershire. Together they provide a comprehensive service that covers the majority of the UK.
They have a close association with all their suppliers, ensuring all their customers benefit from the best of both worlds; the personal service from their employees and a wealth of experience, together with support and expertise from all their suppliers’ comprehensive knowledge - which pretty much mirrors PlatinumHPL’s policy.
PlatinumHPL supplied New Guard design services, general printing, corporate gifts and workwear for a number of years. “The service has always been exemplary with our account manager always on hand to provide assistance at the drop of a hat. The Project:
The old website was looking dated and underperforming. It was also being missed in searches by prospective clients, they needed a site that reflected their forward thinking attitude and was able to grow with the company. The brief was to create a completely fresh, clean new look to the website which could provide both current and prospective customers with all the information they needed without too much navigation. It was also important the site was built with SEO in mind to allow New Guard to maximise growth through its e-marketing.

The site was launched in 2012 and the results have been fantastic, well received by all customers for its ease of operation and information access. “It has been great to work with such a forward thinking company who understood completely the design and planning process and how this needs to be influenced from an SEO perspective.

PlatinumHPL continuously monitor the campaigns, testing different variants to see the best results through click through rates, ensuring the budget is spent to maximum effect. This has meant New Guard now have a library of information for Click Through Rates, Keyword positioning etc as these are supplied on a weekly basis in the agreement. This
information is regularly re-visited to help make the choices going forward.
